Many were experienced international professionals. When communication became difficult under pressure, they often assumed their English was the whole problem. The sessions showed narrower patterns that could be measured and developed.

In demanding moments the answer often lost its order. The point arrived late. The position was softened until it sounded like a guess. The room decided something about the person that had nothing to do with their ability.

SignalResponse was built to turn the map into role-specific development, and reassessment was added so leaders and participants could see whether the pattern changed. Together, those three stages became SignalCheck Teams.

Michael has spent 16 years working with professionals across Asia in live sessions. For eleven of those years, the work focused on people employed by global technology companies, from engineer to president. The five dimensions, the pressure scenarios and the scoring bands all come from those sessions.
He founded SignalCheck Ltd to put the method into an instrument: the same conditions, the same five dimensions, the same bands, for every person.
What “SignalCheck expert” means
Every report is reviewed by a SignalCheck expert before it is delivered. Before reviewing client work, an expert must complete qualification on the five dimensions, scoring bands, scenario set and review protocol, and demonstrate that they can apply the bands consistently. Reviewers work from the session recording and the draft report, and they can change a result.
SignalResponse development specialists apply the method in the workplace situations identified by the team’s map. They are selected for relevant professional context and trained on the SignalResponse techniques before delivery. They are not assigned to teach a generic Business English course.
SignalCheck staffs each engagement to the agreed number of people, regions and delivery calendar. Reviewer and specialist availability is confirmed before participant sessions are booked.

The method is documented so it can be delivered consistently beyond the founder. The five dimensions are fixed. The bands are fixed. Every report is read by a SignalCheck expert before it is delivered.

Review every report before it is delivered. They complete founder-led qualification on the methodology, they work from the session recording, and they can change a result.
Development specialists
Deliver SignalResponse. They are trained on the methodology and run the techniques in the situations the map flagged.
The founder
Owns the method. He trains every reviewer and development specialist, and leads the two bookends of every programme: the opening diagnostic read and the closing movement review.
You deal with a person at every decision point: the first call, the leader debrief, and the review of every report. The instrument only ever runs the sessions.
