For individuals and teams

One method. Two routes.

Everyone starts with a private 45-minute SignalCheck. One person receives a private report. A team also receives a combined map with names and scores removed. Development follows the results, and a second SignalCheck shows what improved.

One method, whoever you are

For one person

Book one private SignalCheck. Complete the 45-minute assessment. Receive a private, reviewed report. Then choose whether to continue with individual development and reassessment.

For a team

The full engagement runs below, step by step: scope, measure and map, develop, check again.

See SignalCheck Teams

The rest of this page explains the team engagement. If you are booking for yourself, see the individual route.

The team engagement

Ten steps, from the first plan to the second SignalCheck

This is what the steps are for. A meeting ends with broad agreement, but nobody can answer who owns it, what happens next, by when, or what is waiting on another team. It rarely looks dramatic. It consumes days.

Scope

Step 1

Define the team and the context

We learn the team, the population, where communication becomes difficult, and what is coming up for the business. If a SignalCheck is not the right instrument we say so.

Step 2

Agree privacy, use and reporting rules

Who sees what is agreed and published before anything is booked, including the rules for combining results without identifying people. Every participant is told what is collected, and what their leader will and will not receive.

Measure and map

Step 3

Deliver the SignalCheck baseline

Each person takes the SignalCheck privately, scheduled around their work. 45 minutes in three parts, under standardised delivery conditions.

Step 4

Human review

A trained reviewer checks the automated output against the session and may correct it. No report is delivered unreviewed.

Step 5

Individual reports delivered privately

Each person receives their own scored report across the five dimensions. It goes to them, not to their manager.

Step 6

Build the Team Signal Map, and the Room Map where included

Private results become the combined team pattern, with names removed: the Team Signal Map. Where meeting observation is part of the written agreement, the Room Map adds structured observation of the conditions around the team. You receive the results in a leader debrief that discusses patterns, never named people.

Develop

Step 7

Design SignalResponse Teams from the evidence

Development is built on what the results show: group development plans for shared patterns, targeted 1:1 support where the diagnostic indicates a need, and manager involvement.

Step 8

Deliver the development

Human-led group and cohort sessions, private AI-supported practice between them, and application to real workplace situations. The programme is reviewed and adjusted as new evidence emerges.

Check again

Step 9

Reassess under equivalent conditions

Equivalent conditions means different situations at the same difficulty, across the same dimensions and bands, so movement means the capability moved, not that the questions were familiar.

Step 10

Team-level evidence and next priorities

What improved, what still needs work, and where to act next, reported at team level.

Two shapes of engagement

The Team Baseline, or the full quarterly cycle

The two shapes share the same method and the same privacy rules. They are different commercial commitments.

The Team Baseline

A defined first engagement: scope and privacy rules, private SignalChecks, private reports, the Team Signal Map, the Room Map where it is included in the written scope, and a leader readout. It ends with a decision on what follows, and can open a confirmed quarterly cycle.

The quarterly SignalCheck Teams cycle

The full system: the baseline, SignalResponse Teams, review and adjustment, reassessment, final evidence and a next-cycle decision. See SignalResponse Teams.

The responsibility split

What HR organises

HR helps define the population, privacy rules, regions and calendar. SignalCheck handles scheduling, delivery, report review, the maps and reassessment. The complete split is agreed before launch.

Why existing approaches miss it

Two different questions

A proficiency test asks
How well can this person use English?

Useful for hiring language skills. It is not designed to show what pressure does to communication at work.

A SignalCheck asks
What happens to this person's communication under pressure?

Measured live, in work situations, on five dimensions and fixed bands.

Generic training spends the same effort on every person and every dimension. SignalCheck measures first, then SignalResponse Teams works only on what the map shows.

The commitment

What it asks of your team

Each participant gives 45 minutes, scheduled around their own work. There is no preparation and nothing to revise, because a diagnostic measures what is already there.

45 minutes total

Where do you want to start?

This page covers both routes. Pick the one that describes your situation.

For a team or organisation

Thirty minutes on your team: what the sessions involve, what each person receives, and how the results turn into development. Bring a real situation and we will show you how the method works on it. If it is not the right fit, we will say so.

For yourself
