The only development that ends the way it started.
Every communication programme ends with a feeling that it went well. This one ends with a measurement. Your team takes a SignalCheck, the results decide what the development works on, and a second SignalCheck at the end shows what moved. Quarterly cycles, built for teams working across regions in English, where important technical input is lost on the way to a decision.
What it is built to change
The change shows up as observable patterns in real meetings.
We do not promise pay, promotion or revenue results.
Your meetings, not a set of examples
Before each cycle starts, we agree the situations with your team lead. They come from the meetings your team actually sits in.
The design review
Where the decision gets made, and where a concern has to arrive before it closes.
The quarterly review
Where the numbers get questioned, and the answer has to hold.
The planning meeting with headquarters
Where the work is scoped, and what is missing has to be said early.
These become the pressure scenarios the team works against. They are rebuilt each quarter as the work changes, so the practice follows the job rather than a fixed syllabus.
A measured before, and a measured after.
Each cycle opens with a SignalCheck and closes with another one. The second uses different situations at the same difficulty, scored on the same five dimensions and the same fixed bands. That is what makes the comparison mean something: movement means the capability moved, not that the questions were familiar.
You receive team-level evidence of what improved and what still needs work. Individual results stay private throughout: a leader receives the combined pattern, never the individual reports behind it.
Five things you will be holding that you do not have now.
These are deliverables, not predictions. Each one is produced by the cycle whatever the results turn out to be.
- Where each of the five dimensions sits for the teamAs a distribution, not a single average: the group average placed on the fixed bands, and the spread from the lowest to the highest result in the group.
- Which people the evidence flags, and which it does notTargeted support goes where the results show a need. You will know where that is, without receiving anyone’s individual score.
- What the second measurement shows against the firstA second SignalCheck using different situations at the same difficulty, scored on the same five dimensions and the same fixed bands.
- Which parts of the pattern moved and which heldReported dimension by dimension, at team level, with individual scores removed.
- The Movement ReportProduced at the close of every cycle. It reports each of the five dimensions against the previous measurement, at team level, with individual scores removed. A dimension that did not move is reported flat. It is written on the same vocabulary and the same bands used from the first day of the cycle, so you can put it in front of your own leadership.
We do not publish an expected movement figure. We have not completed enough reassessment cycles to state one we could stand behind, and a number we could not source would be worth less than the measurement itself. Every completed cycle adds to what we know. When there is a figure with evidence behind it, it will appear on the method page with that evidence beside it.
Four questions to ask of any option.
Most teams are weighing this against the Business English provider they already use, a global online practice platform, or doing nothing. We cannot answer for those, and you should ask them directly. Ask all of them the same four questions.
The person, the team, and the meeting itself
Development works on both sides of the conversation: how the person enters it, and how the meeting makes room for what they know.
Individual
Private feedback. Practice with AI. 1:1 help where results show a need. Practice for real events coming up at work.
Team
Group sessions on shared patterns. Practice applied to meetings, explanations, disagreement and decisions. Shared tools the team keeps.
Environment
Managers take part, because a team cannot change a meeting the chair runs the same way every week. Guidance for managers, better meeting and question habits, and findings from the Room Map where it is in scope.
Quarterly cycles, on your own quarter
SignalResponse Teams runs in quarterly cycles, aligned to your own quarter, so the work sits on the rhythm you already plan and budget in. Each cycle is built from what the last measurement showed. Nobody is in continuous development: work is assigned from the results. The founder leads the opening read of the results and the closing review of what moved.
The targets come from the team map, not from a syllabus. Dimensions the team already holds are left alone.
- Baseline
- Pathway design
- Human-led sessions
- Private AI practice
- Manager and meeting work
- Review and adjust
- Reassess
- Evidence report
Then the next cycle begins.
The three layers run through every part of the cycle.
A specialist teaches the method. The instrument gives you somewhere to practise it.
- Private repetition
- Consistent practice conditions
- Access across time zones
- Practice between the human sessions
- Judgement and feedback
- Context from your team's real work
- Challenge in the live sessions
- Programme adjustment and final review
Between sessions people practise alone, as often as they want, against the same situations agreed for the quarter, delivered by the same instrument used in the diagnostic. It plays the difficult counterpart: the senior leader who interrupts, the one who pushes back hard, the chair who moves on before the point lands. It does not slow down for them, does not get impatient, and does not remember. There is no colleague watching and no face to lose, which is why people repeat the thing they are worst at.
AI never makes an employment decision, never produces a manager-facing individual score, and never replaces the human review of a SignalCheck report.
Staffed before launch, trained before delivery
Reviewers and development specialists complete founder-led qualification on the SignalCheck method before working with participants. Specialists are selected for relevant workplace experience in technical, commercial, leadership or cross-regional settings. The delivery team is confirmed in the written plan.
Small numbers, because the work is aimed.
These figures look light next to a platform selling practice by the hour. They are not the same thing. Ten minutes spent on the dimension a person’s own report flagged, rehearsing a situation their work is about to bring, is not ten minutes of general practice. Nobody is in continuous development, because work is assigned from the results.
- Baseline
- 45 minutes, once, per person
- Active week
- 10 to 15 minutes of private practice
- Active month
- One 60 to 75 minute team session
- Cycle
- One quarter, ending in a second SignalCheck
Before launch, HR receives the complete calendar and expected time commitment for every participant group.
What an active month actually asks of one person.
This is the guidance above, laid out as a single month. It is an illustration of the published figures, not a fixed timetable. Your calendar is confirmed in the written plan before launch.
That is roughly 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes in an active month, for a person whose plan includes the practice and the team session. It is the sum of the published figures above, not a separate commitment.
Not every month is an active month. Each cycle opens from the last measurement and closes with reassessment, and the rhythm is agreed before launch.
Across regions, in planned waves
An organisation-wide programme does not place every employee into 1:1 development at once. Rollouts are planned by population, function, region and priority. Every participant receives the same diagnostic standard. Development intensity follows the evidence.
Development starts from a map.
SignalResponse Teams is built from a SignalCheck baseline. If your team has not taken a SignalCheck yet, that is the first step. It begins with thirty minutes on your team: what the sessions involve, how long it takes, what each person receives, what you receive, and how the results turn into development. Bring a real situation your team struggles with and we will show you how the method works on it.
